Description

Fuel Filter FILTRON PP 839/5
FILTRON PP 839/5 is a high-quality fuel filter designed for precise protection of the fuel supply system in combustion engines. Its main task is to trap all contaminants present in the fuel, which could negatively affect the lifespan and efficiency of the engine.
Function and significance of the fuel filter
Regardless of the type (petrol, diesel, or LPG), fuel often contains impurities coming from:
-
contaminated fuel tanks (dust, rust particles),
-
transportation and storage processes,
-
the presence of water and the microorganisms developing in it.
The fuel filter effectively traps:
-
solid particles (dust, dirt, rust),
-
organic particles and paraffins,
-
water and microorganisms.
Without proper filtration, components such as:
-
injectors,
-
fuel pumps,
-
pressure control valves,
-
Common Rail injection elements
wear out much faster.

Performance of FILTRON PP 839/5
The PP 839/5 model meets the requirements of modern engines, efficiently capturing particles as small as 3–5 microns with over 90% efficiency. High filtration precision is crucial especially for diesel engines, where the fuel system operates under very high pressure and is particularly sensitive to contaminants.
Construction and materials
The PP 839/5 filter features:
-
a high-quality filter element made of synthetic microfibers,
-
a corrosion-resistant housing (metal or composite, depending on version),
-
sealing elements resistant to fuel and its additives.
Service recommendations
To ensure proper engine operation and long fuel system life:
-
the fuel filter should be replaced regularly, according to the vehicle manufacturer’s recommendations (usually every 20,000–30,000 km, depending on operating conditions and fuel type),
-
in difficult conditions (frequent city driving, poor-quality fuel, unreliable filling stations), more frequent replacement is advised,
-
the replacement should be performed by a qualified mechanic to avoid air locks or leaks in the fuel system.
