Cabin Filter FILTRON K 1154A

The FILTRON K 1154A cabin filter is a high-quality ventilation system component that effectively cleans the air entering the vehicle’s interior. This is a carbon filter that combines traditional mechanical filtration with the sorption properties of activated carbon, providing comprehensive protection for passengers against both physical and chemical contaminants.

Structure and function of the filter
The filter is usually installed near the vehicle's cowl, in a special compartment by the ventilation system. It consists of:

a filtration layer made of moisture- and mold-resistant cellulose or synthetic fiber, which traps solid particles (dust, dirt, sand),
an activated carbon layer, responsible for adsorbing harmful gases and neutralizing unpleasant odors.

Range of protection and user benefits

Cleans the air from solid contaminants: suspended particles, sand, soot, plant pollen, fungal spores, asphalt dust.
Protection against harmful gases: the carbon insert filters nitrogen oxides (NOx), ozone (O₃), and other chemical compounds present in exhaust fumes.
Improved driving comfort: reduction of unpleasant odors and stuffy air inside the cabin.
Supports passenger health: reduces the risk of allergic reactions, upper respiratory infections, and irritation of mucous membranes.

Operating recommendations
With use, the filter gradually clogs, which results in:

reduced airflow through the vents,
decreased efficiency of the ventilation and air conditioning system,
increased humidity and risk of mold and microorganism growth.

For this reason, it is recommended to replace the cabin filter every 15,000 kilometers or at least once a year. If the vehicle is used intensively in urban conditions, on unpaved roads, or during periods of high pollen, it is advisable to replace the filter more frequently.
